All pipes are shipped in a pipe box with a hand made velvet bag for added protection.
All of my briar pipes have either delrin or stainless steel tenons and coated bowls (which can be left off a commissioned pipe upon request). Pipes are drilled with either 3/4 inch chambers or 7/8 if the size and shape allows (size will be noted in the pipe description). I drill my airways at 11/64 (approximately 4.3mm) for a very nice open draw.
My briar pipes will have hand-cut Ebonite stems. Bakelite and re-worked NOS Acrylic and Vulcanite stems may be used as well and will be noted in the pipe description. They will be available in Smooth and Sandblasted finishes. These briar pipes will often have exotic wood stem extensions, shank extensions, bands or other adornments.
The strawberry tree pipes have the same specs as the briar pipes except that the bowls will be uncoated unless requested. Strawberry tree wood is very dense and its good absorbing qualities provide a very dry smoke. Sandblasting them reveals a very unique pattern different from that of most other woods. The pipes made of strawberry tree wood are usually 20%-25% lighter in weight than similar pipes made of briar.
